Solar Tech South

It appears that the building opposite the southern entrance to Southern Village is finally occupied. Solar Tech South is the name on the front, and I just called their number - 919-960-6015.

Ed WITKIN, who answered the phone, said they are moving here from Main St in Carrboro.

Website is in process.

They hope to open in Feb.

We talked about opportunities for Ed to introduce Solar Tech to Southern Village. I mentioned the annual Southern Village HOA meeting in February, and he said they hoped to do some educational programs in their building once they are fully up and running.

Kris did not identify himself or herself in any way so I do not know if this person was just being helpful or if this person works there.
In any case, I am suspicious of any business that creates a website without a single name of a person on it, and no contact opportunity other than a telephone number. Before I would work with such a company, I'd want to know more about the people who work there and own the company, and there is not a trace of that here that I could find.......

I do not work there. Just trying to be helpful to users that may be searching for the website. Your blog was the first result for a google search. I thought you might want to have the correct link on this post. I think the best way to learn more about the people who work there and own the company would be to go in and introduce yourself. A web site is never a good way to get a feel for the human element of a business. The website does give you a good feel as to what services are being offered, though.

People who hide behind pseudonyms are of no interest to me. Thanks.

Welcome to the solar world, Southern Village, and Solar Tech South! The solar industry needs lots of good, qualified companies making a difference in our communities.

We want to let everyone know, your other local solar installation team will be in your neighborhood on February 26th.

Come on out to Market Street Books from 6:45-8:15pm and meet members of the Southern Energy Management team, who will give a brief presentation and answer all your questions about how to put the power of the sun to work for you (and your wallet!).

In the meantime, please visit our website - at www.southern-energy.com - and stay tuned to our online calendar for more upcoming neighborhood events in your area!
