Yes. Books at Market Street were occasionally put on sale.
However, large discounts or prolonged sales are not viable for a small, local bookshop. Plus, MSB used profits from the book store to operate its arts-centered non-profit. Now the Southern Village community has a large hole where author events, children's art classes, tai chi, and local musicians used to converge at MSB.
