My two mile walking circle

Two miles is a good distance for all of us to be walking. It ought to take under 45 minutes to do this. In a two mile walk, I can get most of the way to Chapel Hill or Carrboro and all of the way to the site of the new Walmart. That includes a big stretch of 15-501, Market Street in Southern Village, and a few other points of interest along the way. What strikes me is that we are entirely too focused on cars and going everywhere by that transport medium. The result is that pedestrians - normal people - are taking a nearly literal "back seat" to cars. We are going to see a huge increase in cars and noise and pollution with the evolution of Obey Creek and what is not happening with any of it is a focus on how people living or working within two miles can get there on FOOT. We need a lot more focus on this - a lot of two mile circles and lots of attention on how people can move on their own feet between and among all of the places inside their own two mile circles.
For example, what do we know about the vehicle traffic projections for the Walmart?
Where is the two mile circle around Obey Creek explaining why and how people can get there or leave there to go somewhere on foot?
